| This Week's Crafty Editorial : |
Every year we celebrate the birth of craftyshops.com with our August issue. This month we are excited to show you our ideas for crafts for a Disney princess birthday party from decorations to some cool fun games. We have so many castle crafts now including a money jar you can make out of a coffee can. This year marked year number 4 for us at craftyshops.com. It has been such a nice time living through our learning toddler years -- now we are ready to keep growing and building this crafting marketplace!

We have spent the summer making many noticeable improvements to our crafty shops website. For starters the homepage took a facelift. Plus, our shops now are much easier to use and linked to other parts of our crafting community. We hope you enjoy the changes and will be excited to shop during this upcoming holiday season, so you can truly say the elves made your presents!

| | What Is In The Blogs : |
| A blogger mom created an unpresidented winter princess party called the snowflake princess party for her lucky 4 year old daughter. The pictures capture the goregous crafts and designs very well.. The best part is I loved watching you and all your fancy friends playing in your winter snowglobe party! [ Link ]. |
| | Kid Art contest : |
| July 2010 marked another fun month for our wildly popular kid art contest. We have gotten so many entries on a daily basis that we created a directory for everyone to search for artwork by state. This month, Jessica from Florida drew a colorful bird and earned mega votes to win the prize. If you have not visited our contest lately, please do and offer your opinion by voting this month! |
| | What's In The Next Issue : |
| The month of September rounds out our summer fun with a Back to School issue. We have put together a bunch of designs for school book covers, and a fun pencil topper and hat featured in our turtle art page. Each September we showcase a great new mural posted on our mural art page from our summer travels. Our Back to School issue is a fun issue to start the autumn season before we start presenting our new Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas craft ideas and articles. |

| Disney Princess Party Game Ideas |
 | How do you make your princess party special? Make your own princess party crafts and have your guests play princess party games. You can decorate the room with princess coloring pages colored and highlighted with glitter glue. Just cut out the princess coloring pages and paste them to a piece of construction paper to work as the background matte. Enjoy our fun princess party crafts and game ideas that will make any Disney princess birthday party a success! |
Cinderella Party Game Find out who is Cinderella by playing a Cinderella Musical Chairs game. Set your princesses in a circle sitting on chairs. Play Disney Cinderella music and stop the music periodically. Pass a glass slipper around the circle. If a little princess is holding the glass slipper when the music stops, she leaves the circle.
Snow white Party Game Find the poisoned apple. Just like finding Easter eggs, plant a bunch of apples around the room. Tell the princesses that in order to save Snow White they have collect all of the apples. At the end ask which princess has the one green apple. This is actually considered the poisonous one and the one holding the green apple wins the prize.
Princess Quiz Post pictures of the different Disney princesses around the room. Next to each princess picture, stick cards with the princess's name on it that can be easily pulled off the wall. Make a quiz with questions that can be answered by naming a princess. The quiz takers have to decide which princess is the answer, then find that princess on the wall. The winner will have all questions answered with the right princess name stuck to the paper for that question.
